These terms and conditions (the "Agreement") apply to the purchase or rental of a bridal gown and any related services at Allora Bridal Proprietary Limited (the "Store") by the customer (the "Customer"). By paying the deposit and placing an order, the Customer agrees to these Terms and Conditions. The Customer acknowledges that these Terms and Conditions can be updated by Allora Bridal at any time, and it is the Customer’s responsibility to ensure they have reviewed the most current version.
1. General Terms
1.1 Binding Agreement: By placing an order and paying the deposit, the Customer agrees to these Terms and Conditions.
1.2 Scope: These terms apply to the purchase or rental of bridal gowns, accessories, and any related services, including alterations, customisations, and fittings.
1.3 Terms Subject to Change: Allora Bridal reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. It is the Customer's responsibility to regularly review the latest version of the Terms and Conditions, which will be updated on the Allora Bridal website.Â
2. Product Information
2.1 Availability: All dresses and products are subject to availability. Allora Bridal will confirm the availability of the dress and expected delivery timelines before processing the order.
2.2 Sizing: It is the Customer’s responsibility to ensure the correct size is selected for the bridal gown. Allora Bridal will assist with sizing during fittings, but the final decision on size rests with the Customer. By paying the deposit, the Customer agrees to the size that has been ordered. Once the order is placed, size adjustments can only be made through alterations, which may incur additional costs and may not fully address significant sizing errors. The Customer should be mindful that while a sample dress may be tried on during fittings, the size actually ordered may look different on the Customer due to variations in proportions, fit, and fabric draping.
2.3 Product Description: Allora Bridal will take reasonable care to accurately describe and display products in-store and online. However, actual product colours and designs may vary slightly due to lighting or fabric.Â
3. Pricing and Payment
3.1 Price: The price of the bridal dress and any additional services (such as alterations) is clearly communicated at the time of purchase. Prices may be subject to change based on availability and other factors.
3.2 Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 60 % of the total price is required when buying a new dress to confirm the order. When buying a sample dress or renting a dress a 100% payment is required. By paying the deposit, the Customer agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, including the no-refund policy.
3.3 Payment Methods: Payment may be made via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), Card Machine or Cash. It is the responsibility of the Customer to confirm the correct bank details before making any payment. Allora Bridal will not be held liable for any payments made to fraudulent or incorrect bank details. An official receipt will be provided for all payments once received.
3.4 Balance Payment: The balance of the price must be paid in full within 2 days of being notified that the dress has been delivered or is ready for collection. If the balance is not paid within this period, interest will be charged on the outstanding amount at a rate of prime plus 2% per annum, calculated from the date the payment was due until the full balance is settled.
3.5 Outstanding Payments: A dress will not be released to the Customer or any third party unless all amounts due have been settled in full. Allora Bridal reserves the right to withhold the dress until payment is completed.
4. Alterations and Customisations
4.1 Alterations: Alterations are possible, but no design changes (e.g., fabric changes, major alterations to the style) can be made once the dress has been ordered. Only adjustments and alterations that can be done to the existing design (e.g., resizing, hem adjustments) are allowed.
4.2 Alteration Fees: All alterations must be paid for in full before the alterations begin. If the Customer delays payment, and alterations cannot be completed on time due to the delay, Allora Bridal will not be held responsible for any inconvenience or inability to meet the Customer's deadline.
4.3 Possible Limitations: Some alteration requests may not be possible due to the design or fabric of the dress. If an alteration is deemed impossible or impractical, the Customer will be informed and must accept that such changes cannot be made.
4.4 Alteration Appointment Requirements: For the first alteration appointment, the Customer must bring their wedding shoes to ensure proper fitting and adjustments. If the Customer does not bring their wedding shoes, Allora Bridal will use a standard high heel from our premises to determine the length of the dress. This length will be final, and no further adjustments will be made once it is set.
4.5 Bustle Disclaimer: If a bustle is added to the back of the dress for the wedding day, the Customer must be mindful that the bustle is only designed to support a certain amount of weight and use. If the bustle breaks or fails on the wedding day due to excessive strain or handling, Allora Bridal cannot be held responsible for any damage or inconvenience caused.
4.6 Alteration Timing and Limits:
-
Alterations will only be conducted during working hours, Tuesday to Friday.
-
During the first alterations appointment, all required adjustments will be determined, and an invoice will be provided accordingly. If additional changes are requested or required at subsequent fittings due to weight fluctuations or other customer requests, a new invoice will be issued.
-
A maximum of three fittings will be provided. Customers must respect that Allora Bridal may not have the capacity to accommodate major alterations if they are not communicated well in advance.
-
Allora Bridal reserves the right to measure customers at the start of alterations appointments to confirm that the original measurements remain unchanged.
4.7 Customer Responsiveness:If Allora Bridal emails the Customer to schedule alteration appointments and the Customer does not respond within a reasonable time, and later responds when Allora Bridal no longer has the capacity to accommodate their alterations, Allora Bridal will not be held responsible for the inability to complete the alterations. It is the Customer's responsibility to respond promptly to such communications.
4.8 Alteration Appointment Rules:
-
Only the bride and one guest are allowed to attend alteration appointments. If an extra guest accompanies the bride to the appointment, Allora Bridal will request that the guests remain in the front area or outside for the duration of the fitting.
-
No photos or video calls are allowed during alteration appointments to ensure the privacy and focus required for a successful fitting.
5. Delivery and Collection
5.1 Estimated Delivery: Allora Bridal will provide an estimated delivery or collection date for the dress at the time of purchase. However, this date is only an estimate and may be subject to delays beyond Allora Bridal's control, such as supplier issues, shipping delays, or production delays. Any fluctuations in the delivery timeline are not the responsibility of Allora Bridal.
5.2 Collection: The collection date will be arranged once alterations are completed, and the dress must be collected at least one week before the wedding. Collection can only take place Tuesday to Friday during working hours.
5.3 Release Form: At the time of collection, the Customer (or an authorised person collecting the dress on behalf of the Customer) must sign a release form, acknowledging that they are happy with the dress and confirming that Allora Bridal cannot be held responsible for the dress from that point onward.
5.4 Collection by a Third Party: If the dress is collected by someone other than the Customer, the person collecting the dress must sign the release form on the Customer's behalf. This signature will be considered as if the Customer themselves signed the form, confirming that they accept the dress in its current condition.
5.5 Outstanding Payments: A dress will not be released to the Customer or any third party unless all amounts due have been settled in full. Allora Bridal reserves the right to withhold the dress until payment is completed.
6. Cancellations, Returns, and Refunds
6.1 No Refunds: Once the deposit has been paid and the order is confirmed, no refunds will be issued under any circumstances. This includes, but is not limited to, customer cancellation, change of mind, dissatisfaction, or any change in personal circumstances—such as postponement or cancellation of the wedding.
6.2 Wedding Cancellation or Postponement: The cancellation or postponement of a wedding does not constitute grounds for cancellation of the dress order or for any refund of payments made. As all bridal gowns are ordered or produced specifically for the Customer, the Customer remains fully liable for the outstanding balance of the dress, even if the wedding is cancelled, postponed, or the dress is no longer required for any reason. If the Customer chooses not to collect the dress after cancellation of the wedding, the dress will be stored for a maximum of 90 days. After this period, Allora Bridal reserves the right to sell, repurpose, or dispose of the dress without further notice, and without any refund to the Customer.
6.3 Design Changes:
Once the order has been placed, no design changes can be made to the dress. Only alterations, as specified in Section 4, may be requested.
6.4 Exchanges or Returns:
Bridal dresses are non-returnable and non-exchangeable once collected or accepted by the Customer, in accordance with Section 17 of the Consumer Protection Act.
7. Weight Fluctuations and Responsibility
7.1 Customer’s Responsibility: The Customer acknowledges that any fluctuations in weight for any reason whatsoever (whether gained or lost) after the dress has been ordered or altered are not the responsibility of Allora Bridal.
7.2 Alteration Adjustments: If weight fluctuations occur, the Customer may need to pay for further alterations at their own expense to accommodate these changes. However, alterations may not necessarily be able to fully address all weight fluctuations, particularly if the changes are significant. Allora Bridal cannot be held liable if alterations cannot achieve the desired fit due to the extent of the weight change. The Customer accepts this risk and responsibility.
8. Dress Not Collected or Paid For
8.1 Non-Collection or Non-Payment: If the dress is not collected or paid for within two months after Allora Bridal has made reasonable efforts to contact the Customer, the dress may be sold to recover costs. The Customer will not be entitled to any refund or compensation in such a case.
9. Liability
9.1 Limitation of Liability: Allora Bridal is not liable for any damages, losses, or injuries related to the use of the bridal gown after collection.
9.2 Force Majeure: Allora Bridal will not be held responsible for any delays, damage, or failure to perform obligations under this Agreement due to unforeseen circumstances beyond their control (force majeure events), including, but not limited to, natural disasters, strikes, supplier delays, or government restrictions.
By placing an order with Allora Bridal and paying the deposit, the Customer confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
