Do I need to make an appointment?

Yes we work on an appointment basis only - book you fitting online or send us an email at hello@allorabridal.co.za.

What is the price range of the dresses at Allora Bridal?

Our price range for our dresses are R 15 000 to R 40 000.

When should I start shopping for my wedding dress?

We recommend you start shopping 10 - 12 months before your wedding. We will need 2 - 3 months before your wedding for alterations. There are however rush options on some of our dresses, so if your timeline looks different please send us an email at hello@allorabridal.co.za and we will assist you with different options to get your dream dress in a shorter timeline.

Do you do alterations in-house?

Yes we have lovely seamstresses that make sure your dress fits perfectly.

How many guests can I bring with me?

We allow 3 guests to accompany you in your fitting.

How long is my wedding dress fitting appointment and how many dresses can I fit?

Your appointment is 60 minutes long where you will be allowed to fit an unlimited amount of dresses.

What sizes of samples do you stock?

Our sample size is from size 6 - 14. If you are coming to fit a specific dress please send us an email at hello@allorabridal.co.zo so that we can have a look if we do have the sample in your size. We are however able to give you quite a good idea of how your dress will look even if the sample is too big or too small.

How long does it take for my dress to arrive?

It depends on the designer - but the lead time is anything between 4 to 6 months. We will keep you updated throughout the whole process about your delivery date and will arrange your alterations appointment with you in advance.

I live overseas, but am getting married in South Africa, would you be able to assist me?

Yes of course - we have quite a lot of international brides that visit us and say YES to their dream dress at our boutique. With our international brides the alterations timeline works a little bit different but we work with you and your timeline to make sure your dress fits perfectly.

I think I have changed my mind on my dress - what now?

We understand that this might happen, however we won’t be able to stop the production of your dress or issue you a refund. Dress regret happens, so firstly just give us a call or send us an email and we can arrange for you to fit your dress again. Sometimes you just need to see the beauty again to be reminded why you fell in love in the first place.

What should I wear to my appointment?

Nude underwear or shapewear.

What is your appointment cancellation policy?

We are a small business and by appointment only, last minute cancellations and no-shows impact us. This also means another bride on our waitlist misses out on a spot they could have taken. Please be courteous and cancel more than 48 hours in advance. Your booking fee is non-refundable, but if we are able to reschedule your appointment before that 48 hours we can transfer it.
